Gemini 3 rolls out across Google products with major intelligence upgrades

Google has officially launched Gemini 3, with Sunar Pichai sharing the announcement through a detailed note on the company’s blog. The introduction highlights how the new model represents the next phase in Google’s AI strategy, combining improved capabilities with wider deployment across its products and services. While it brings reasoning improvements and broader impact is expected to have on aspects like learning, building, and everyday planning.

Google’s most advanced Gemini model till date

Gemini 3 comes with a major upgrade in multimodal understanding, advanced reasoning, and agentic abilities. Pichai said the model benefits from Google’s full-stack approach to AI, enabling faster development and immediate rollout across Search, the Gemini app, developer tools, and enterprise services.

Google DeepMind’s leadership added that the Gemini 3 Pro surpasses earlier versions across key evaluations, showing meaningful gains in complex problem solving, factual accuracy, and nuanced interpretation of text, images, and video. The introduction of Deep Think mode enhances this even further, pushing performance on demanding scientific and analytic tasks.

For the first time, Google is integrating a new model into Search on launch day. General users can now experience responses with richer layouts, interactive elements, and more contextual understanding through the AI mode available in Google Search. Developers can also start working with Gemini 3 Pro in Google AI Studio, Vertex AI, and the Gemini CLI, with support expanded to several existing toolchains.

A new agentic direction for everyday tasks

Alongside the model, Google announced Google Agent, a feature designed for conducting multi-step workflows such as organising the inbox or planning activities. The company also previewed Antigravity, a development environment that enables AI agents to plan and execute coding projects with minimal intervention.

Google stressed that Gemini 3 has undergone extensive safety testing and external evaluation as it prepares to roll out broader access, including to Google AI Pro and Ultra subscribers in the coming weeks.
