Samsung’s latest update has quietly added a new AI feature to its Galaxy devices, according to reports from SamMobile. The publication highlights that Google’s Nano Banana image generator is now tied directly to Samsung’s Now Brief experience. The early rollout suggests that Galaxy users will soon see creative image prompts appearing inside their evening summaries, leading into the full set of details.
How Nano Banana works inside Now Brief
With the updated Personal Data Intelligence app installed, a new toggle for Nano Banana image creation appears in the Now Brief settings menu. When enabled, the feature automatically selects a random selfie or other front-facing photo from the Gallery at the time the daily Memories card is generated. The system then presents a set of creative prompts that can rework the image in different styles.
Selecting one of these prompts opens the Gemini app, where Nano Banana processes the uploaded photo on Google’s servers. The edited output could include style changes, background swaps, or artistic reinterpretations. Users can save, copy, or share the transformed photo as soon as processing is complete.
Expanding Google’s AI presence on Galaxy devices
Nano Banana has been available through the Gemini app and has recently expanded into Google Photos, where users experiment with artistic effects using simple prompts. Its presence inside Now Brief marks a deeper level of integration between Samsung’s Galaxy AI and Google’s imaging tools.
While the feature is already visible for some users, the card may take time to appear consistently as the rollout progresses. For now, Galaxy owners can activate the toggle and wait for Nano Banana to become part of their daily recap routine.
