Google is celebrating the 45th anniversary of the classic arcade game Pac-Man with a special playable Doodle on its homepage. The search engine giant often marks global events and cultural milestones with interactive Doodles, and this time, its combining nostalgia with the Halloween theme.

The Pac-Man game on Google’s homepage is available for a limited time, giving fans of the legendary arcade game a chance to relive memories in a fresh, spooky setting.

Pac-Man Halloween 2025 Edition

The Pac-Man Halloween 2025 Edition Doodle features eight levels, including four haunted-house mazes created in collaboration with Bandai Namco Entertainment, the company behind the original game. Each maze reflects the personality of the ghost haunting it, offering players a different experience as they level up.

Players take on the familiar mission of guiding Pac-Man through the mazes, chomping dots and avoiding the four iconic ghost, namely Blinky, Inky, Pinky, and Clyde. For those who love turning the tables, the Power Pellet makes a comeback, letting players to temporarily chase the ghosts instead of running away from them.

The new Doodle also introduces subtle sound and lighting effects that change with each maze, giving every level a distinct mood and a playful, eerie atmosphere.
