He-Man is back! This time in a live-action movie starring Nicholas Galitzine

If you were ever a He-Man person as a kid, you must have at least once said, “By the power of Greyskull, I have the power.”

In a move that oozes nostalgia, Travis Knight is rebooting He-Man with a live-action movie, bringing the iconic 1980s property back into the spotlight. Called the Master of the Universe, the official trailer of the film is here, and it’s making our beloved action character the talk of the town.

Masters of the Universe trailer brings back the He-Man Nostalgia

The first trailer of the Master of the Universe confirms that this He-Man movie blends fantasy, action, and the familiar feel of the original series. The trailer focuses on He-Man standing tall in his classic armour, wielding the Power Sword.

The visuals show vibrant landscapes, the presence of the antagonist – Skeletor, and He-Man’s other buddies. Unlike new hero movies, this one feels classic, as it should be, with a tone that captures the blend of heroism and larger-than-life spectacle.

He-Man is being played by Nicholas Galitzine, while Jared Leto is the Skeletor. At this moment, the cast and crew are known, but the exact plot remains unclear. Whether this is an origin story or just some intense battle from a later timeline remains to be seen.

What we also get to see in the trailer is how He-Man transforms from Prince Adam to defender of Eternia, and all of this is teased with dramatic flair, just like it is in the cartoon.  Ancient powers, epic battles, and magic are the things you can expect as a complete newbie to the franchise.

Fans of the classic franchise have been waiting years for a live-action adaptation that feels worthy. This first trailer almost delivers, but still, there are some mixed reactions.

Still, the new Masters of the Universe film remains one of the most anticipated fantasy releases, and we can’t wait to watch it later this year when it hits theatres on June 5.
