Honor Magic V6 debuts with a huge 7,150mAh battery paired with Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5

Honor Magic V6 has gone official as the first foldable phone of the year 2026. It not only packs the powerful Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 chip but also features the largest ever battery on a foldable phone. Continue reading ahead to know everything about the Magic V6.

Honor Magic V6: Specs and features

The Honor Magic V6 has a 6.52-inch OLED cover screen offering an FHD+ resolution, up to 120Hz refresh rate, and 6000-nit local peak brightness. On the inside, the V6 has a 7.95-inch foldable OLED panel delivering 2352 x 2172 pixels resolution along with up to 120Hz refresh rate, and 5000-nit local peak brightness.

There’s a 20MP camera on the cover screen and a selfie camera with the same MP count on the inside. The circular camera module on the back houses a 50MP main camera with OIS support, a 50MP ultra-wide lens, and an OIS-assisted 64MP periscope telephoto camera with 3x optical zoom.

Under the hood, the Magic V6 has the Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 chipset, paired with LPDDR5x RAM and UFS 4.1 storage. The 16GB+1TB variant of the device includes a 7,150mAh battery, while the other variants feature a 6,850mAh battery. The device supports 80W wired and 66W wireless charging. The 7,150mAh battery variant also supports satellite connectivity.

Despite packing big silicon-carbon batteries, the V6 measures only 4.1mm in the unfolded state and 9.0mm in the folded state. It weighs between 219 to 224 grams.

The Magic V6 runs on MagicOS 10-based Android 16, and offers other features such as dual speakers, a side-facing fingerprint sensor, Wi-Fi 7, Bluetooth 6.0, NFC, an IR blaster, and a USB-C (3.2 Gen 1) port. It is also the first foldable phone to offer IP68/69-rated dust- and water-resistance.

Honor Magic V6: Price and availability

The 12GB+256GB, 12GB+512GB, 16GB+512GB, and 16GB+1TB editions of the Honor Magic V6 are priced at 8,999 CNY (~Rs 1,19,730), 9,999 CNY (~Rs 1,33,000), 10,999 CNY (~Rs 1,46,300), and 11,999 CNY (~Rs 1,59,600), respectively. It comes in shades like red, gold, white, and black.

Currently, the Magic V6 is limited to China, but it will be soon heading to select global markets. Since Honor brand has been inactive for some time in India, the country may not receive it.
