Things to know before changing your Gmail address
Google never allowed you to change your Gmail address. Only thing you could do to fix your cringeworthy Gmail was to actually to create new work Gmail account. But not anymore, you can now change your Gmail address up to three times.
Here are certain things you need to keep in mind.
– You can only change your address once every 12 months..
– You can do it a maximum of three times in total.
– Once changed, you can’t delete your new address.
Also, the feature is still rolling out gradually, so it may not be available to you just yet. But once it is, just follow the following steps.
How to change your Gmail address
Step 1: Head to myaccount.google.com
Step 2: Tap on Personal information.
Step 3: Tap Email, then Google Account email address.
Step 4: If you see a “Change Google Account email” button, you’re good to go.
Step 5: Enter your new preferred username and follow the prompts.
