Routine smartphone use often results in files piling up in your storage. Some, you can delete without a second thought, while others you mull over for months. And for those still not on board, it always helps having cloud storage to fall back on.
In its new partnership with Google, Airtel recently announced its decision to give users 100GB of Google One Cloud storage. The offer, which is currently limited to post-paid users of the service, has also already begun rolling out. Wondering how to get it for yourself? Here’s what you need to know.
Airtel x Google offer: What's there to know?
As mentioned above, the telecom service provider has only made this offer available for both postpaid mobile as well as broadband (Wi-Fi) users. However, it is also crucial to note that it will only be available for six months post the date of activation. For anything more, users will have to purchase additional Google One storage to keep using their account.

The storage plan will be available for Android phone and iPhone users, both with an active Airtel SIM subscription. Moreover, these users will also be able to share this storage with five other people or family members.
Once activated, users will immediately be able to use 100GB of data across varied Google services – these include Photos, Gmail and Drive.
How to get 100GB of Google One storage free as an Airtel user
To avail of this offer, all you need to do is download the Airtel Thanks app. Within this, you should find an option to activate the Google One storage plan if you are eligible for it. Once your plan nears deactivation, you are likely to receive multiple reminders via Google before your stored files are lost.
However, post six months, those users who are interested in continuing can pay Rs 125 to keep using Google One. Keep in mind, though, that Google gives every user free 15GB to begin with. Meaning anything over and above will be considered a part of your Google One subscription.
This announcement comes in as Airtel’s move to enhance value-added services for its users. Useful or not, it will certainly give customers a much-needed upgrade to accommodate their growing smartphone needs.
