Huawei has announced a new foldable phone in China, and this one is fully spec’d out. It boasts a super slim design and has business-class aesthetics. Barring the design, some of its other key highlights include dual screens, triple cameras, and Kirin-backed performance. Here’s all you need to know.
Everything about the Huawei Mate X7
The Mate X7 is a successor to the Mate X6 from last year, and it brings a couple of new upgrades over it. Starting with the display, the foldable phone boasts an 8-inch foldable screen with a peak brightness of 2,500 nits of brightness.
The outer display is a 6.49-inch LTPO screen with 3,000 nits of peak brightness. Both have up to 120Hz refresh rate support. You get 1440Hz high-frequency PWM dimming as well. The Mate X7 is also super slim at 4.5mm when unfolded and 9.5mm when folded.
Performance-wise, the device is powered by the Kirin 9030 chipset, paired with up to 16GB RAM and 1TB of storage. The foldable phone has triple cameras with a 50MP main sensor, a 40MP ultra-wide unit, and a 50MP 3.5x periscope telephoto sensor. Upfront, it has an 8MP selfie snapper.
The foldable phone packs a decent-sized 5,525mAh battery with 66W wired and 50W wireless fast charging. It has an IPX8 rating for splash resistance. It boots on HarmonyOS 6.0 out of the box.
