HyperOS 3 update coming to Poco F7, X7 series: Rollout schedule, eligible devices, new features

In a world where our smartphones are fast becoming pocket-sized co-pilots for work, creativity, and everything in between, Xiaomi’s latest HyperOS 3 update wants to make your device feel a little more futuristic, and a little more alive.

Built on Android 16, the new update is now rolling out to select Poco devices, bringing a suite of AI-powered tools, visual upgrades, and interface tweaks with distinctly premium vibes. Think Apple’s Dynamic Island, but with Xiaomi’s flair for theatrics, animated wallpapers, cinematic lock screens, and even a touch of generative smarts.

The update will first land on the Poco F7 lineup and the new Poco X7 series, followed by a wider rollout across Poco’s mid-range and budget models through early next year. Here’s what’s coming and when to expect it.

Key features coming with HyperOS 3

HyperOS 3 isn’t a mere cosmetic refresh. It comes packed with a mix of playful visuals, AI-powered writing, and practical enhancements that push the Poco experience closer to premium phones from Samsung and Apple, while retaining Xiaomi’s character.

HyperIsland

HyperIsland is an alert tray that’s shaped like a pill. It is very much inspired from Apple’s Dynamic Island. It lives at the top part of your screen, and it show calls, messages, timers, charging animations, and more. It’s slick, subtle, and surprisingly fun.

AI Writing Tools with DeepThink Mode

HyperAI now goes beyond basic suggestions. It can now reshape your writing with intelligent tone shifts, structural edits, and mood-based rewrites.

AI Speech Recognition and Smart Transcription

HyperOS 3 can record audio, clean up voices, transcribe conversations in real time, and instantly create summaries. Think Otter.ai, but built in, seamless, and with no subscription needed.

AI Dynamic Wallpapers and Cinematic Lock Screen

You can take any still image and turn it into a living, breathing wallpaper. The wallpaper will have motion effects, depth transitions, and parallax visuals, so your lock screen finally becomes more than just a pretty picture.
