iPhone 17e may come with thinner bezels, improved selfie camera

Apple is prepping to launch the next affordable iPhone, and it may come with quite a few upgrades. Dubbed the iPhone 17e, the smartphone may feature Dynamic Island, doing away with the old-school notch, and it may also boast thinner bezels. Here’s what to expect from the upcoming iPhone 17e.

What to expect from the iPhone 17e?

The Apple iPhone 17e is expected to feature panels made by BOE, Samsung Display, and LG Display. Although China’s BOE is likely to get the greatest number of orders. Interestingly, the bezels on the 17e could be thinner, and we may finally see Dynamic Island on a budget.

The existing iPhone 16e boasts the old-school notch, so a Dynamic Island will be a big upgrade. Moreover, the selfie camera of the device may receive an update. The 12MP selfie snapper could be replaced with an 18MP camera, similar to the iPhone 17 family.

The rear camera could be 48MP, similar to the iPhone 16e. As for the performance, Apple may use iPhone 17’s A19 chipset, which means performance should be snappier than iPhone 16e’s A18 chipset.

There are no details about the screen as such, but rumours suggest that the iPhone 16e will still have a 60Hz display. This will make it the only new iPhone with a 60Hz screen next year, which is the case with the 16e right now.
