If you were waiting for the iPhone SE 2025 and were expecting it to feature a brand-new design, then there’s bad news for you. Yes, it will come with an improved design, having a large screen and narrow bezels, but despite a design change, it won’t boast an Action Button if that’s what you were expecting.
Additionally, the device may miss out on many other such features, including features like Visual Intelligence. Here’s everything you should know about the upcoming iPhone SE before its launch this week.
iPhone SE 2025: Things you should know about
While the iPhone SE 2025 will offer the much-needed upgrades over the iPhone SE 2022, it will still miss out on some major features when compared to the new iPhone 16s. For starters, the device will still feature a rear-design similar to the iPhone SE 2022, and will still be equipped with a single camera.
On the sides, it won’t have the fancy Action Button as the iPhone 15 Pros and iPhone 16s. However, there will be the convenient alert slider like other iPhones. As per a case leak of the phone, the device will also miss out on the Camera Control button, which means it will also miss out on Visual Intelligence.
Apart from this, the smartphone is expected to come with a 6.1-inch notch display with a 60Hz refresh rate. It may come with a 48MP single rear camera, which will be a big improvement over iPhone SE 2022’s 12MP single-rear camera.
There will also be a selfie camera upgrade, from a 7MP sensor on the predecessor to a 24MP sensor. Since there will be a new sensor, it might be able to shoot 4K from both cameras. However, let’s wait for Apple to confirm the same.

Performance-wise, the smartphone is expected to be powered by Apple’s A18 chipset, the same chipset as the iPhone 16. Because of a larger display and a powerful chipset, Apple is expected to offer a big battery inside. How big? That’s currently unknown.
Lastly, the iPhone SE 2025 will most likely boot on iOS 18 out of the box and should receive long years of software support. The smartphone is anticipated to arrive this week, most likely on February 11 (Tuesday). It should be cheaper than the iPhone 16 lineup, expect its starting price to be under Rs 50,000 in India.
