iQOO 15 to launch in November with flagship features

Update: The launch has now been confirmed for November 26.

iQOO has started teasing the Indian launch of its new flagship, the iQOO 15, which is set to land sometime in November. The company’s own CEO, Nipun Marya, dropped a not-so-subtle hint on X with a spinwheel graphic.

That wheel clearly showed ’11’ for the month and even paused right on November 27, making that date a very strong possibility for the big reveal.

A massive battery, a new OS, and more

This phone is poised to be the company’s first device powered by Qualcomm’s brand-new Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 chipset. This 3nm chip is paired with an Adreno 840 GPU, and the whole package will likely offer industry-leading performance.

We don’t need to wait for the actual launch to drool over the specs, though, since the Chinese version of this handset is already out.

Powering that chip is a massive 7,000mAh battery, which supports 100W wired and 40W wireless fast charging. The display sounds equally premium. It’s a 6.85-inch Samsung M14 8T LTPO AMOLED panel with a sharp 2K resolution and a buttery-smooth 144Hz refresh rate.

It even boasts an eye-watering 6,000 nits of peak brightness and packs high-end trimmings like 2160Hz PWM dimming and Dolby Vision.

On the back, there’s a serious triple camera setup. It features a 50MP primary sensor, a 50MP ultra-wide lens, and a 50MP periscope telephoto lens that promises up to 100x digital zoom. Selfies are handled by a 32-megapixel shooter. Internally, it’s packed with up to 16GB of LPDDR5X Ultra RAM and 1TB of speedy UFS 4.1 storage.

It’s not just about the hardware. The iQOO 15 will also debut the new OriginOS 6. This is the company’s Android 16-based skin that is finally replacing FuntouchOS in global markets. This new UI brings a design language called “Dynamic Glow”, which features circular icons, curved widgets, and new blur effects.

Lastly, the Chinese model also rocks a tough IP68 and IP69 rating, so expect the Indian variant to do as well.

The launch of the iQOO 15 closely follows the launch of the OnePlus 15, which is on Monday. Stay tuned for more details on both these phones.
