iQOO 15 Ultra to launch soon with gaming triggers and built-in cooling fan

The iQOO 15 Ultra has surfaced in fresh leaks, suggesting that the brand is preparing a higher-end variant to sit above the iQOO 15. While early information points to a gaming-centric approach, new details have now emerged regarding its expected launch window and key hardware upgrades.

iQOO 15 Ultra launch timeline (rumoured)

According to a Weibo post by tipster Digital Chat Station, the iQOO 15 Ultra is expected to launch in China before the Spring Festival. Also known as the Chinese New Year, the festival begins on February 17, 2026. If the leak is accurate, the device could be unveiled sometime before mid-February, placing it well ahead of many other flagship launches expected later in the year.

iQOO 15 Ultra specifications (rumoured)

Leaks suggest that the iQOO 15 Ultra will place a strong emphasis on gaming performance. It is said to feature an active cooling system with a built-in fan, claimed to be the largest ever used in a smartphone. This setup is expected to deliver significantly improved thermal management, potentially allowing sustained performance levels close to next-generation chipsets.

The phone is also tipped to include shoulder triggers, a feature typically aimed at competitive gaming. These triggers are expected to enhance control in shooting and action games, offering quicker inputs and better precision. It is expected to inherit most of its specs from the iQOO 15.

On the display front, the iQOO 15 Ultra is rumoured to feature a 6.85-inch flat LTPO OLED panel with a 2K resolution. The Samsung-sourced screen is expected to support a 144Hz refresh rate and very high peak brightness. Powering the device could be Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 chipset, the same processor found in the iQOO 15.

Additional leaks point to wireless charging, IP68 dust and water resistance, and a new 50-megapixel periscope telephoto camera under testing.
