iQOO 15 arrives in India with Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5, triple 50MP cameras

The much-awaited iQOO 15 has gone official in India. This Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5-powered has arrived as a worthy rival for phones, such as the OnePlus 15 and Realme GT 8 Pro, which pack the same chip. Here’s everything you need to know about the iQOO 15, including its specifications and price.

iQOO 15: Specifications and features

Starting from the front, the iQOO 15 features an impressive 6.85-inch Samsung M14 AMOLED screen, which delivers a sharp 2K resolution and a 144Hz refresh rate. There’s support for Dolby Vision and a peak brightness of 6000 nits, making it ideal for binge-watching and gaming. For security, the screen is integrated with an ultrasonic in-screen fingerprint sensor, which works seamlessly even with oily or wet fingers.

Under the hood, the iQOO 15 packs Qualcomm’s latest and most powerful chip – the Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5. It is accompanied by LPDDR5x Ultra RAM and UFS 4.1 storage. The inclusion of the company’s self-developed Q3 Supercomputing chip brings frame interpolation with up to 144fps output. It also supports ray-tracing tech, delivering lifelike lighting and shadows during gaming.

The iQOO 15 houses an 8K vapour cooling system, which, according to the brand, is the largest ever on a smartphone in India. The phone packs a massive 7,000mAh battery with support for 100W wired and 40W wireless charging.

For photography, the iQOO 15’s rear camera setup includes a 50MP Sony IMX921 primary camera with OIS support. It is accompanied by a 50MP ultra-wide lens and a 50MP periscope telephoto camera with 3x optical zoom, 100x digital zoom, and OIS. On the front, the device is equipped with a 32MP selfie camera.

It is iQOO’s first phone to come preloaded with Origin OS 6 UI. Running on Android 16, it is confirmed to receive five Android OS upgrades and seven years of security updates. Other features include dual speakers, Wi-Fi 7, Bluetooth 6.0, a USB-C (Gen 3.2) port, and a halo light notification LED. For durablity, it comes with a metal middle frame and an IP68/69-rated dust and waterproof body.

iQOO 15: Price and availability

The iQOO 15 is offered in two colour variants: Alpha Edition, which has a matte black finish, and Legend White. It comes in 12GB+256GB and 16GB+512GB options, priced at Rs 72,999 and Rs 79,999, respectively. It is scheduled to go on sale from December 1 in India. With launch offers, it can be bought for as low as Rs 64,999.
