Realme GT 8 Pro launches with Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5, interchangeable camera module

Realme has finally unveiled the Realme GT 8 Pro in India. Like its rivals, such as the OnePlus 15 and the upcoming iQOO 15, the Realme offering also features the Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5, which is the most powerful Qualcomm chip available. It is the only phone among its competitors to feature a 200MP periscope telephoto camera. Without further ado, let us have all the details of the GT 8 Pro.

Realme GT 8 Pro: Specifications and features

The Realme GT 8 Pro comes with an impressive 6.79-inch AMOLED screen that offers a 2K resolution, a 144Hz refresh rate, and up to 7,000 nits of peak brightness for a premium experience while binge-watching and gaming. The screen is integrated with an ultrasonic in-screen fingerprint scanner, which works seamlessly with oily and wet fingers.

One of the most unique features of the Realme GT 8 Pro is that it comes with an interchangeable camera module, which allows users to customise the appearance of the camera module with different shapes (e.g. round, square) and colours.

The GT 8 Pro is also the company’s first phone to feature a Ricoh-certified 50MP main camera with OIS support. It offers a co-engineered system with Ricoh GR that brings their legendary street photography aesthetics, classic focal lengths (28mm/40mm), and distinct film tones directly into the smartphone’s camera software.

The Realme GT 8 Pro’s rear camera setup also features a 50MP ultra-wide lens and a 200MP periscope telephoto camera with OIS and 3.5x optical zoom. For selfies, it is equipped with a 32MP front camera.

The Realme GT 8 Pro comes preloaded with Android 16 and Realme UI 7, which brings an overhauled Liquid Glass Design aesthetic, apart from smoother performance. It is promised to receive four Android OS upgrades and five years of security updates.

The GT 8 Pro comes with other features, such as dual speakers, an x-axis linear motor, a massive 7,000mAh battery with 100W wired and 50W wireless charging support, an aluminium frame, and an IP68/69-rated dust- and water-resistant body. On the connectivity front, it has Wi-Fi 7, Bluetooth 5.4, NFC, an IR blaster, and a USB-C port.

Realme GT 8 Pro: Price and availability

The Realme GT 8 Pro has arrived in two versions: 12GB+256GB and 16GB+512GB. These variants are priced at Rs 72,999 and Rs 78,999, respectively. It comes in two shades: Diary White and Urban Blue. The phone is scheduled to go on sale starting November 25 in India.
