Redmi 15C and Realme C85 5G entry-level 5G phones to launch this month

In August, Redmi unveiled the Redmi 15 5G with impressive specifications, including a massive 6.9-inch display with 144Hz refresh rate support and a 7,000mAh battery, priced at Rs 14,999.

Now, a new leak reveals that the brand plans to launch the Redmi 15C, an entry-level 5G phone, in India this month. The same source has also shared details that Realme’s entry-level 5G phone will also debut around the same time in the country.

According to tipster Abhishek Yadav, the Redmi 15C 5G will make its India debut by the end of November. He also revealed that the Realme C85 5G will launch in the country around the same time. These entry-level 5G phones are expected to compete directly with each other, and their specifications are already known as both models have been launched in select markets.

The Redmi 15C will feature a 6.9-inch IPS LCD screen with a 120Hz refresh rate, whereas the Realme C85 will offer a 6.8-inch IPS LCD screen with a higher 144Hz refresh rate. Both devices will be powered by the Dimensity 6300 chipset.

In terms of battery, the Redmi 15C packs a 6,000mAh battery with 33W fast charging, while the Realme C85 offers a larger 7,000mAh battery with 45W charging. Both phones will include a single 50MP rear camera and an 8MP front camera for selfies.

Although there is no official confirmation regarding pricing, both smartphones are expected to be priced around Rs 12,000 in India, making them strong contenders in the affordable 5G category.

Redmi Note 15 series’ India launch timeframe

The same leak also mentions that Redmi will announce the Redmi Note 15 series in January 2026 in India. To recall, the previous generation was launched around the same time this year. The upcoming lineup is expected to include three models, namely the Redmi Note 15, Note 15 Pro, and Note 15 Pro+.

Reports suggest that the Indian variants could have minor differences in specifications compared to their Chinese counterparts, possibly to suit local market preferences.
