LG ArtCool ACs launched with dual inverter technology, smart connectivity features

For far too long, air conditioners have been viewed as a luxury, rather than a necessity. However, as we grapple with an intense heatwave across the country, a powerful AC, no matter the kind, is but naturally our best friend.

We often look for an AC that’s as economical as it is powerful. And as our tastes evolve, also one that adds to our space’s aesthetic. And that’s precisely what LG promises to deliver, with its newly launched ArtCool lineup of ACs.

LG ArtCool ACs key features and specifications

The LG ArtCool AC series resembles most split ACs units in homes across the country, except for one small thing. The ACs come finished in a sleek black colour, and even get a mirror finish on the indoor unit, which adds a bit of a Noir appeal to your space.

The LG ArtCool lineup features dual-inverter compressor technology, which the company claims reduce power consumption by as much as 81 per cent over a standard AC, via the Diet Mode feature.

What’s more, the ACs also get LG’s Energy Manager technology. What the AC does with this is, it automatically sets a timed energy-saving operation based on a customer’s target electricity consumption numbers on the ThinQ app. This ensures optimum compressor usage, therefore reducing power consumption, while still maintaining a cool and comfortable temperature in the room.

The ArtCool lineup also gets a feature called Him Clean. This is an automated cleaning mechanism that eliminates bacteria from within the indoor unit, providing cool as well as clean and fresh air. On offer is also a Gold Fin+ coating, which LG says, protects the AC against humidity, minimising corrosion and rust over time.

There’s also Wi-Fi connectivity on offer, which means the ACs can be controlled remotely via your smartphone, setting timers for turning it on or off, or adjusting the temperature too. Next up on the list of smart features on the AC, is low gas deduction and odour detection, which helps detect and resolve any issues the ACs may potentially develop if left unchecked.

LG ArtCool ACs: Pricing and availability

As mentioned above, the LG ArtCool lineup of ACs is available in capacities ranging from one ton to two tons. Depending upon the model you choose, the ArtCool lineup will cost you anywhere between Rs 35,000 to Rs 60,000 apiece. They can be purchased from LG’s website and its stores, as well as from all other major e-commerce portals and partner retail outlets across the country.
