Summer is synonymous with holidays, and Motorola is right on time with the launch of its brand-new Moto Tag Bluetooth tracker. The newest addition will rival Apple’s AirTag, Samsung’s SmartTag,2 as well as JioTag (which was unveiled late last year in India), and it will also leverage Google’s extensive Find My Device network.
Apart from this, the tracker comes with other exciting features as well. Wondering if you should take it along on your next trip? Check out everything you need to know:
Moto Tag: Key features and specifications to look out for
Motorola’s Bluetooth tracker is a coin-shaped device that weighs approximately seven grams. It comes integrated with Google’s Find My Device network and is enabled for global item tracking. If that’s not all, it also claims to offer precision finding (offline tracking) and can be used for various items, including keys, purses, and luggage, along with larger items such as bikes or vehicles.
The company has equipped a dedicated ringer button which can be used to find misplaced phones. Alternatively, this button can be used as a remote capture button when you’re clicking pictures.

On the connectivity front, it comes with Bluetooth 5.4 and is compatible with smartphones running Android 9 (Android Pie) or higher. The Moto Tag comes with a replaceable CR2032 battery that is said to last up to a year. Moreover, it also offers end-to-end encryption for location information and only allows Moto Tag owners to track their objects.
Lastly, it supports manual scanning that can help you identify unwanted trackers around you and can even alert other users if it’s moving alongside them for a specific amount of time. Moto Tag comes with an IP67 rating for dust and water resistance, making it a steadfast companion for extreme adventures as well.
Moto Tag: Price and availability
Moto Tag Bluetooth tracker is priced at Rs 2,299 and will be available across leading e-commerce websites soon. Apart from this, it will also be available on the brand’s official website. The tracker is available in two colourways, including Jade Green and Starlight Blue.
You can alternatively also purchase the Apple AirTag, which offers a similar set of features within this price range. For more news, in-depth reviews and comparisons, make sure you remain subscribed to Unboxed by Croma.
