Meta, in partnership with Oakley, has announced new smart glasses under the category – Performance AI glasses. The latest Oakley Meta smart glasses give you the much-needed lifestyle upgrade with AI features built in.

Thanks to the combination of an aesthetic design, built-in camera, and AI features, the Oakley Meta smart glasses are advertised as performance AI glasses built for the next generation. Sounds good? Here’s everything you need to know.

All about the Oakley Meta smart glasses

The Oakley Meta smart glasses aren’t your average pair of glasses; rather, they blend fresh aesthetics with AI finesse. What enables this is the hardware inside these glasses. But before that, let’s look at the design of the smart glasses.

The Oakley Meta smart glasses have a bold and durable design, featuring a slightly thicker chassis. The wearable carries a sporty look and comes in seven colour options.

This includes Desert 24K Prizm Polar Limited Edition, Warm Grey with Prizm Ruby, Black with Prizm Polar Black, Black with Clear Lenses, Black with Transitions Amethyst, Brown Smoke with Prizm Polar Deep Water, and Clear with Transitions Grey.

The smart glasses feature a 3K camera with a built-in 12MP sensor, ensuring a hands-free photo and video capture experience. They also have an open-ear directional Bluetooth speaker for music and a microphone for capturing the audio.

The smart glasses have touch as well as voice controls. The latter works with “Hey Meta” (a Meta AI feature) and toggles the voice assistant to help you make calls. You can also play and pause the music, and do much more with it.

The smart glasses have an IPX4 rating for splash resistance. Lastly, you can pair the smart glasses with both Android and iPhone via Bluetooth.

The Oakley Meta smart glasses are priced at $399 (about Rs 34,600). The Limited Edition variants cost $499 (about Rs 43,200).
