OnePlus has begun rolling out OxygenOS 16.0.3.501 for the OnePlus 13s in India, continuing its steady post-launch software cadence. The update, carrying build number CPH2723_16.0.3.501(EX01), is being released in phases and will reach more users over the coming days.
Alongside system refinements, this update brings a few quality-of-life upgrades to the OnePlus 13s that lean into everyday use, especially for users who spend long hours gaming, streaming, or working on their phones. Intrigued? Here’s everything you should know.
OxygenOS 16 update brings bypass charging and improved photo editing
The headline feature here is bypass charging. When enabled during demanding tasks like gaming, video streaming, navigation, or live broadcasts, the phone draws power directly from the charger instead of topping up the battery. The idea is simple but effective. It’s to reduce heat buildup and long-term battery wear during extended plugged-in sessions.
This makes the OnePlus 13s better suited for marathon gaming nights or desk-bound workdays, where the phone often stays connected to power for hours at a stretch.
Another fantastic change is that the Photos app can now handle edits on images as large as 50 million pixels while preserving original image quality.

This upgrade allows users to crop, adjust, and fine-tune ultra-high-resolution photos without compression artifacts or loss of detail, making it far more practical to work with professional-grade images directly on the device.
There's also productivity tweaks and security updates
OxygenOS 16 also brings additional refinements. Drawer mode adds new “Office” and “Finance” categories, making app discovery a little quicker. Private Safe has been expanded with folder-level search, a side slider for browsing files, and the ability to share files directly from within the secure space.
There is also a new toggle that lets users remove the SMS reply option from the incoming call screen, tucked away under Contacts settings. Rounding things out is the January 2026 Android security patch, keeping the device up to date on the safety front.
