OnePlus is gearing up to launch its next R-series powerhouse, the OnePlus 15R, known in China as the OnePlus Ace 6. Slated for debut on October 27, this smartphone promises to blend some serious horsepower with practical design.
Positioned as an “ultra-performance” flagship for those who want OnePlus 15-level muscle without the price tag, it’s shaping up to be one of the brand’s most balanced devices yet. Here’s everything known about the OnePlus 15R so far.
OnePlus 15R (Ace 6): Everything known so far
The OnePlus 15R will reportedly feature a metal frame with IP66, IP68, IP69, and IP69K ratings, making it one of the most rugged OnePlus phones ever. Weighing 213 grams, it carries a refreshed rear design with a vertically stamped “ACE” branding (for the Chinese variant) and a camera module reminiscent of the OnePlus 15.
The phone is tipped to come in Black, Flash White, and Quicksilver finishes, with multiple top-frame openings for microphones and possibly an IR blaster, a rare inclusion for the brand.
Up front, we can expect a flat 1.5K AMOLED display with a 165Hz variable refresh rate, capable of switching between 60, 90, 120, 144, and 165Hz. The screen is expected to be supplied by BOE Display, and OnePlus has confirmed an ultrasonic in-display fingerprint sensor for faster, more reliable authentication. Eye-protection features will also make their way to this panel.

Under the hood, the OnePlus 15R could run on Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 8 Elite chipset; the same silicon that powers the OnePlus 15. Early Geekbench results hint at impressive scores (3,050 single-core and 9,440 multi-core), supported by up to 16GB of RAM. The Chinese version will likely boot ColorOS 16 based on Android 16, with OxygenOS 16 expected for the global variant.
Confirmed to house a 7,800mAh battery with 120W wired fast charging, the 15R is expected to set a new benchmark for endurance in its class. However, wireless charging support appears to be reserved for the flagship OnePlus 15.
In China, pre-reservations are live for as little as CNY 1 (roughly Rs 12) for the OnePlus Ace 6 (15R), with perks worth CNY 3,255 (about Rs 40,000). While exact pricing is still under wraps, the phone is expected to launch near the Rs 42,999 mark in India; similar to the OnePlus 13R.
All in all, the OnePlus 15R is shaping up as a performance-centric device that balances endurance, speed, and durability; all while keeping a firm grip on OnePlus’s mid-premium DNA. If early teasers are any indication, this could be the R-series’ most refined evolution yet.
