At its latest launch event, OnePlus didn’t just unveil the new Nord 5 series smartphones, it also introduced a fresh contender in the personal audio space – the OnePlus Buds 4. These are not your average wireless earbuds. With a combination of hi-res audio hardware, real-time AI translation, and sleek styling, the OnePlus Buds 4 are clearly designed to turn heads while tuning out the world.
This fourth-generation upgrade is OnePlus’ boldest take on earbuds yet. It’s an attempt to blur the line between premium audio performance and accessible everyday tech. Intrigued? Here’s everything you need to know.
OnePlus Buds 4: Everything you need to know
The OnePlus Buds 4 continue the brand’s obsession with performance-first audio. You’re looking at a dual-driver setup featuring an 11mm 30-layer ceramic-metal diaphragm woofer paired with a precision 6mm tweeter. The result? A frequency response ranging from 15Hz to 40KHz, promising thumping bass, crisp treble, and rich mids.
The audio is further refined by dual DACs, a feature previously seen on the Buds Pro 2, and LHDC 5.0 Hi-Res audio support, allowing wireless transmission rates up to 1Mbps. Audiophiles, these are the buds for you on a budget!
Active Noise Cancellation gets a serious upgrade this year, offering up to 55dB noise reduction across a 5,500Hz frequency range, the highest yet on any OnePlus Buds. And if you need to stay aware of your surroundings, you can toggle between Adaptive ANC, Transparency Mode, and standard ANC as required.
And here’s where it gets futuristic. The Buds 4 offer real-time AI Translation when paired with a OnePlus phone. Yes, you can actually have conversations across languages, without reaching for Google Translate.

As for day-to-day use, the Buds 4 are IP55-rated for water and dust resistance, have 47ms low-latency mode for gaming, and include touch controls with volume adjustments. OnePlus’ 3D Audio and Golden Sound tuning modes round out the immersive experience.
Power-wise, you’re covered. Expect up to nine hours of playback with ANC off (or six hours with ANC on), and a total of 45 hours with the charging case. A 10-minute top-up gets you an impressive 11 hours of playback.
OnePlus Buds 4: Price and availability
The OnePlus Buds 4 are priced at Rs 5,999 and will be available in two colours – Zen Green and Storm Gray. These are designed to make a style statement while still keeping things subtle.
Starting July 9 at 12 pm, you can pick these buds up on e-commerce platforms, OnePlus.in, and the OnePlus Store App. For those who prefer retail therapy in person, the Buds 4 will also be stocked across offline outlets including Croma.
