New OnePlus Pad 2 announced with 144Hz display, massive battery in a slim body

OnePlus announced a new tablet named OnePlus Pad 2 (aka. OnePlus Tablet 2) at the OnePlus 15 launch event in China. This device should not be confused with the Snapdragon 8 Gen 3-powered product carrying the same name in India.

Since OnePlus follows a different naming strategy for its tablets in China, the new Dimensity 9400 Plus-powered variant is positioned below the OnePlus Pad 2 Pro (aka. OnePlus Table 2 Pro) with Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5, which debuted in May 2025 in China. Without further ado, let’s have a look at the specifications, features, and price of the new tablet.

OnePlus Pad 2: Specs and features

The OnePlus Pad 2 has a 12.1-inch IPS LCD panel that offers a sharp 3K resolution (3000 x 2120 pixels), a smoother 144Hz refresh rate, a 7:5 aspect ratio, and a peak brightness of 900 nits. The company claims that the tablet can reach up to 144fps in select games.

Under the hood, the tablet features the Dimensity 9400 Plus chipset paired with LPDDR5x RAM and UFS 4.1 storage, ensuring strong performance for demanding tasks. Furthermore, the gaming-focused tablet packs a 10,420mAh battery with 67W fast charging and a large heat dissipation unit spanning 46,000mm² for better thermal management.
