Oppo Find N5 debuts as the thinnest book-style foldable yet

Oppo has announced its latest foldable phone. Called Oppo Find N5, this new smartphone boasts a slim design, a large 2K foldable display, and packs the latest and the most powerful smartphone chipset by Qualcomm.

Oppo says that it’s also the thinnest book-style foldable phone yet, setting a new benchmark for foldable devices. Here’s everything you need to know about the new Oppo foldable phone.

Oppo Find N5 key features, specifications

The Oppo Find N5 isn’t your usual foldable phone that’s thick and heavy. The Find N5 is advertised to be slim and feature-packed, featuring a thickness of just 4.21mm when unfolded and 8.93mm when folded. The device also has a stylish design that has been refined over its predecessor, the Oppo Find N5.

The foldable phone sports an 8.12-inch 2K LTPO OLED display with a 1-120Hz refresh rate. The screen has up to 2,100 nits of peak brightness and a 30 per cent shallower crease.

There’s also a 6.62-inch secondary LTPO OLED panel with an FHD+ resolution and a 1-120Hz refresh rate. Both screens feature 2160Hz of high-frequency PWM dimming for a flicker-free experience.

Oppo has also offered an alert slider, allowing you to quickly mute all the incoming notifications. Powering the phone is a Snapdragon 8 Elite SoC, which is a 3nm chipset with an Adreno 830 GPU. It is paired with up to 16GB of LPDDR5X RAM and 1TB of UFS 4.0 internal storage.

The foldable phone packs a 5,600mAh battery with support for 80W SuperVOOC wired fast charging and 50W AIRVOC wireless fast charging.

The design and performance aren’t the only highlights of the device. Oppo has also added a triple-rear camera system with Hasselblad branding. The camera system is led by a 50MP main sensor with OIS support. It is assisted by a 50MP 3x periscope telephoto camera and an 8MP ultra-wide sensor. There’s up to 6x optical zoom support, just like the Oppo Find X8 Pro.
