Oppo has launched the special edition of the Reno 14 5G. The all-new Diwali Edition of the Oppo Reno 14 5G boasts a peacock design and features a heat-sensitive colour-changing technology. The specs remain unchanged, with a MediaTek processor taking care of the performance. Here’s all you need to know about the Reno 14 5G Diwali Edition.
What's special about the Oppo Reno 14 5G Diwali Edition?
The Reno 14 5G’s Diwali Edition doesn’t just boast cool looks, but also has a special tech built in. It features what Oppo calls the peacock design on the rear, and also has flame-like accents and diyas to match the Indian tradition.
The back of the phone features a special colour-changing technology that shifts colour when exposed to warmth. Oppo names it the GlowShift feature. Interestingly, this effect is reversible and can last even after repeated cycles.
While this feature is interesting, it isn’t a first. Tecno and Vivo have tried colour-changing panels back in the day, and they worked pretty well. Why this one is special, though, is because it arrives just ahead of Diwali.
Apart from this, the specs of the Diwali Edition remain unchanged when compared to the standard edition. It boasts an aluminium build and has a 6.59-inch 1.5K AMOLED screen. The display supports a 120Hz fast refresh rate for smooth scrolling.
Powering the device is the MediaTek Dimensity 8350 chipset, paired with up to 8GB RAM and 256GB storage. It packs a 6,000mAh battery with 80W fast charging support. On the software front, it gets Android 15-based ColorOS 15.

The Oppo Reno 14 5G Diwali Edition costs Rs 39,999. However, you can buy it at an introductory price of Rs 36,999, which is about the same price as the standard variant.
With its festive-friendly design and robust performance, the Reno 14 5G appears to be a great buy this Diwali. What do you think about this special edition phone? Do let us know in the comments below.
