Oppo Reno 14, Reno 14 Pro arrive in India with AI smarts and durability chops

Forget safe upgrades, the Oppo Reno 14 series arrives with flagship ambition and creator-first thinking baked in. Oppo has decided to double down on design finesse, AI intelligence, and, surprisingly, brute durability. The Reno 14 and Reno 14 Pro are the brand’s newest flag-bearers in India’s hyper-competitive high-end smartphone segment, and they’re armed to the teeth with specs that promise more than just pretty pictures and smooth scrolling.

This is Oppo’s most serious play yet for the hearts (and hands) of creators and power users alike. Let’s break down what’s under the hood of the Oppo Reno 14 series.

Oppo Reno 14 Pro and Reno 14 launch in India with an impressive spec sheet

Oppo’s new phones are tuned for creators who know their aperture from their AI filters. Both the Reno 14 and Reno 14 Pro flaunt sharp AMOLED panels with 1.5K resolution, silky 120Hz refresh rates, and 10-bit colour depth, wrapped under Gorilla Glass 7i.

Yes, it’s the same glass protection used in the recently launched Rs 80,000 Nothing Phone (3), but at nearly half the price. They’re also unusually resilient, boasting IP66, IP68, and IP69 ratings; a trifecta of water and dust resistance rarely seen together.

The screen sizes differ; the Reno 14 comes in at 6.59 inches, while the Pro goes full cinematic at 6.83 inches. Both are paired with up to 12GB of LPDDR5X RAM and up to 512GB UFS 3.1 storage, which is enough to satisfy most creators’ app and media hoarding tendencies.

Coming to performance, the Reno 14 is fitted with the MediaTek Dimensity 8350, while the Pro gets a serious boost with the Dimensity 8450 SoC, making multitasking and AI processing feel less like a compromise and more like a core feature.

You also get an AI-powered Dual Cooling System and nano ice crystal heat sink, keeping temperatures in check even during long edit sessions or 4K recording sprees. Both models ship with Android 15 skinned with ColorOS 15, and Oppo is throwing in five years of OS updates and six years of security patches.

On the optics front, Oppo has gone all-in. The 50MP front cameras on both devices come with autofocus and can shoot 4K at 60fps, making them ideal for vloggers and content creators. On the rear, the Reno 14 packs a 50MP main sensor, 8MP ultrawide, and a 50MP telephoto with 3.5x optical zoom.

The Reno 14 Pro swaps that ultrawide for a sharper 50MP version, resulting in a rear setup that’s seriously impressive for mobile photographers.

Battery life is pretty generous too. The Reno 14 features a 6,000mAh cell, while the Pro gets a 6,200mAh battery, both supporting 80W SUPERVOOC wired charging. The Pro goes one step further with 50W AIRVOOC wireless charging, for those who’ve gone cord-free.
