Oppo Reno 15 Pro Max might redefine mid-premium photography with a 200MP main lens

Usually, Oppo is known for launching new Reno series phones first in China and a couple of months later in other markets, including India. After the Find X9 series, which is scheduled to launch on October 16 in China, the brand is expected to unveil the Reno 15 lineup in November. Likely, the Reno 15 lineup may arrive in India by Q1 2026.

Well before the expected launch, a new leak has revealed the existence of the Reno 15 Pro Max, which could turn out to be the most powerful Reno-series phone yet.

Oppo Reno 15 Pro Max expected specifications

Since the Oppo Reno 11 series, which debuted back in 2024, the company has been offering two models: a standard model and a Pro version. This is likely to change with the Reno 15 series, as rumours suggest that it may include three models, namely, a standard, a Pro, and an even higher model.

A report by SmartPrix suggests that the topmost model could be dubbed the Oppo Reno 15 Pro Max. The publication revealed that it could be equipped with a 6.78-inch OLED panel powered by LTPO technology, which supports a refresh rate ranging from 120Hz down to 1Hz, helping conserve battery power. The screen is said to offer an impressive 1.5K resolution and feature an in-screen fingerprint sensor.

Under the hood, the Reno 15 Pro Max will house the Dimensity 9400 chipset. This is no slouch, as it is the same chip that powered the Find X8 and Find X8 Pro flagship phones last year.

Another major highlight of the Reno 15 Pro Max is that it will be the first-ever Reno series phone to feature a 200-megapixel camera. It will use the all-new Samsung HP5 camera sensor, which was first seen on the recently unveiled Vivo V60e.

The main camera will be accompanied by a 50-megapixel periscope telephoto camera for higher optical zoom and an ultra-wide lens, though the megapixel count for the latter is not yet known. A 50-megapixel front-facing camera is said to be available on the device for selfies and video calls.

While the leak reveals a massive 6,500mAh battery for the Reno 15 Pro Max, there is no information yet about its charging capabilities. It will run on the latest ColorOS 16-based Android 16, promising a smoother user experience. Other expected features include Wi-Fi 7 and NFC.

Oppo Reno 15 Pro Max price, lndia launch timeframe

The publication speculates that the Reno 15 Pro Max will have a competitive price of around Rs 55,000 in India. As mentioned above, it is expected to debut in the early months of 2026.
