Realme has been launching two generations of its number-series smartphones in a year. The brand has already launched the Realme 16 Pro and 16 Pro+ in India, and some markets have also received the Realme 16. The second half of the year may see the arrival of the Realme 17 series.
Today, well-known tipster Digital Chat Station released a Weibo post revealing what appears to be the primary and periscope telephoto camera details of the Realme 17 Pro+.
Realme 17 Pro+ first details leaked
According to DCS, while Realme has already finalised the Realme 17 series to launch in the second half of 2026, it is advisable to wait longer for the product lineup to be sorted out. He also mentioned some details of what appears to belong to the Realme 17 Pro+.
The leak suggests that the Realme 17 Pro+ will arrive with an impressive display, but the tipster did not divulge the screen size or any of its features. He further mentioned that the device will be equipped with a 200MP Samsung HP5 sensor for the primary camera and a 50MP Samsung JN5 periscope telephoto camera with 3.5x optical zoom.
To recall, the Realme 16 Pro+ is also equipped with a 200MP Samsung HP5 main camera and a 50MP JN5 periscope telephoto camera, along with an 8MP ultra-wide camera. Therefore, it appears that the Realme 17 Pro+ may inherit the primary and periscope cameras from the 16 Pro+. It is also being said that the 17 Pro+ could be rebranded as the Realme 17 Pro Max, but there is no concrete evidence to support this claim.
Realme 17 Pro series India launch timeframe (expected)
Realme unveiled the Realme 15 Pro and Realme 15 in July 2025. The company faced some backlash as the lineup did not include a Pro+ model.
Since the Realme 16 Pro series was unveiled in January this year in India, it is likely that the Realme 17 Pro series may debut around July this year. However, it is advisable to wait for further reports to learn more about the lineup.
