Realme GT 8 Pro confirmed to arrive with Ricoh collaboration, India launch date leaked

Smartphone brands are known to collaborate with well-known camera makers to offer an optimised photography experience on their flagship phones. For instance, Vivo has teamed up with Zeiss, whereas Oppo and OnePlus have partnered with Hasselblad. Today, Realme officially confirmed that it has collaborated with a popular camera brand for its upcoming Realme GT 8 Pro.

Realme-Ricoh partnership officially announced

Realme has confirmed that it will announce a strategic partnership with Japan-based camera brand Ricoh on October 14 in Beijing, China. Both brands have unveiled a “4 Years in One Snap” video highlighting their joint effort to redefine mobile street photography.

The partnership will be first seen on the Realme GT 8 Pro, which will be co-engineered with Ricoh GR’s expertise, bringing film-like tones, a GR-inspired UI, and authentic imaging to young users. Emphasising “Snap by No Rules,” this collaboration aims to merge professional camera heritage with Realme’s innovation, empowering users to capture life’s moments with originality and emotion.

Realme GT 8 Pro India launch date

While Realme has already confirmed that the Realme GT 8 Pro will debut soon as India’s first Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 phone, it has yet to reveal its launch date. Speculations suggest that Realme will first launch the GT 8 and GT 8 Pro smartphones in China this month and that only the Pro edition will head to India next month (November).

In India, the Realme GT 8 Pro will face competition from other Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5-powered phones, such as the iQOO 15 and OnePlus 15, which are also expected to launch in November in India.

As per a recent report by 91mobiles, the OnePlus 15 is slated to go official globally, including in India, on November 13. Now, a new report from the same publication speculates that the Realme GT 8 Pro will be unveiled between November 10 and 12, with November 11 most likely being its India launch date.
