In August, Redmi unveiled the Redmi Note 15 5G, Note 15 Pro 5G and Note 15 Pro+ 5G in China. A recent report revealed that the global versions of these phones will have slightly different specs.
After weeks of speculation about the Note 15 series’ global launch, Redmi India has finally confirmed the Note 15 launch date. Here’s a look at what to expect from the device.
Redmi Note 15 5G: MasterPixel Edition
Redmi has confirmed that the Redmi Note 15 5G will be announced on January 6, 2026, in India. The official teasers only reveal so far that it has a 108MP main camera.
This will be a major upgrade considering the previous generation featured a 50MP main camera. That could be the reason why the company highlights the Note 15’s main camera as “MasterPixel” instead of simply calling it MP.
As per a recent leak, the Redmi Note 15 5G will have a 6.83-inch AMOLED FHD+ 120Hz screen and a Snapdragon 6s Gen 3 chipset. It will be powered by a 5,520mAh battery, which will have 45W charging support.

The device is expected to ship with 8GB of RAM and 256GB of built-in storage. The other details of the phone are under wraps.
Redmi Note 15 Pro, Note 15 Pro+ tipped to launch later
While the standard model is set to launch on January 6, the Note 15 Pro and Note 15 Pro+ will be unveiled in February, claims tipster Abhishek Yadav.
It appears the Note 15 lineup will face competition from the Realme 16 series, which is also expected to debut around the same time. Reports have suggested that the Realme 16 Pro will have a 200MP main camera, and the Pro+ will also have that, along with a periscope telephoto camera.
