Limited-edition smartphones designed for pop culture fans have a special place in our hearts. From Star Wars to Genchin Impact editions, there are quite a few examples of such phones, and the latest one may turn out to the be the most popular yet. Enter the Redmi Turbo 3 Harry Potter Limited Edition.

Announced alongside the Redmi Turbo 3 in China, this limited-edition phone not only looks the part, but comes bundled in a box filled with Harry Potter memorabilia. Red on to find out more about this new Redmi phone.

Redmi Turbo 3 Harry Potter Limited Edition

The smartphone, as the name suggests, is a part of the brand’s Turbo series. For now, this series is only available in China. According to the brand, the phone’s design is inspired by the ‘Seven Horcruxes’ in Harry Potter.

Taking centre-stage on the rear panel is the large emblem of the Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry. Besides the twin cameras are all the seven horcruxes intricately designed, which include Tom Riddle’s diary, Marvolo Gaunt’s ring, Salazar Slytherin’s locket, Helga Hufflepuff’s cup, Rowena Ravenclaw’s diadem, and the snake Nagini.

An interesting touch is the words ‘Lumos’ surrounding the flashlight. There’s no denying that the phone’s design pays homage to the magical world. As mentioned, it is not only the phone that is true to Harry Potter, but also the retail box that it comes in. The phone box includes a custom-designed phone charger, a uniquely designed phone case, a hand-painted depiction of the Diagon Alley, and even a Golden Hogwarts school badge.

Beyond these, there are a few neat touches to the phone’s software as well. The phone’s custom UI seamlessly blends quite a few Harry Potter elements. These include a ‘Deathly Hallows’ boot animation, a custom charging animation, and retro looking app icons. There are also special wallpapers to choose from depicting the houses at Hogwarts – Gryffindor, Ravenclaw, Hufflepuff, and Slytherin.

Redmi Turbo 3 key features, pricing

Speaking of the Redmi phone itself, it comes with a 6.7-inch OLED display with 1.5K (2712 x 1220 pixels) resolution, 120Hz refresh rate, and 2,499 nits of peak brightness. Under the hood is a Snapdragon 8s Gen 3 chip with Adreno 735 GPU, up to 16GB of RAM, and up to 1TB of storage.

The dual-SIM phone also comes with a 50MP primary camera, an 8MP ultra-wide camera, and a 20MP front camera. The 5G-enabled phone is backed by a 5,000mAh battery with 90W fast charging support.

The Redmi Turbo 3 Harry Potter Limited Edition is priced at ¥2,699 (approximately Rs 31,000), and will be available in China later this month. In comparison, prices for the standard Redmi Turbo 3 start from ¥1,999 (approximately Rs 23,000).
