Samsung announced its first commercially available triple-fold phone this week, and now everyone’s eyes are set on the next Unpacked event. But looks like Samsung has some other plans before it showcases the S series of flagships at Unpacked.
The South Korean brand has just announced a special event called ‘First Look’. The event will happen a month before Unpacked, i.e., at CES 2026. Here’s what to expect from Samsung’s ‘First Look’ event.
What to expect from Samsung’s First Look event?
Every year at CES, Samsung showcases a bunch of prototypes, and we are indeed excited to see them. For years, Samsung has shown off its tri-fold technology, but this time around, we already have a triple-fold phone that’s commercially available.
Having said that, rumours suggest that at CES 2026, which is at Samsung’s ‘First Look’ event ON January 4th, the South Korean brand may offer a hands-on experience of the Z TriFold to the global audience.
The Galaxy Z TriFold is an engineering marvel, with its 10-inch flexible screen that folds inwards. Along with the TriFold, we may also see more foldable tech from the brand.

Samsung’s First Look event, however, may not be only about the TriFold and other foldable prototypes. Rather, the brand is also expected to showcase next-gen flagship TVs, home appliances, and connected ecosystem upgrades.
Additionally, we may get teasers about the Galaxy S26 series, paving the way for the Unpacked event, which may happen soon after.
At this point, we are just speculating, but let’s wait until Samsung confirms more at the event next month. Until then, stay tuned to Unboxed by Croma for more news on Samsung and everything tech.
