These Samsung Galaxy devices will get Android 15-based One UI 7.0 update

It hasn’t been long since Android 14 began to make its way to Samsung’s smartphones globally, with One UI 6.1 still being rolled out to devices in a few regions.

However, just the other day, Google made its developer preview of Android 15 available to download. What’s more, the company says that its stable version could start rolling out to its Pixel devices starting as early as July, which will be followed by the update being rolled out to other devices soon after that.

Now, if you’re a Samsung Galaxy smartphone user, we have some good news for you. There is a long list of devices from the Galaxy lineup that are eligible for the Android 15 update, likely via the One UI 7.0 update. Read on to find out.

Samsung Galaxy S-series

Several devices from Samsung’s flagship Galaxy S-series of smartphones are eligible for the Android 15-based One UI 7.0 update. These include the base, Plus as well as Ultra variants of the Samsung Galaxy S24 series, the Galaxy S23 and S22 series, and even the Samsung Galaxy S21 series.

What’s more, even the Samsung Galaxy S21 FE and S23 FE devices are eligible for the update.

Samsung Galaxy Z series

On the fold and flip front, the Galaxy Z Fold3 and Flip3, Galaxy Z Fold4 and Flip4, as well as the latest Galaxy Z Fold5 and Flip5 smartphones are eligible for the One UI 7.0 update. Whether the older Samsung Galaxy Z Fold2 and Flip2, as well as the original Galaxy Z Fold and Flip phones will receive the update however, remains to be seen as of now.

Samsung Galaxy A and M series

Coming to its mid-range A series of smartphones, the Samsung Galaxy A14 and A15, the A23, A24, and A25, the Galaxy A33, A34, A53 and A54, as well as the Galaxy A72 and A73 devices will receive the Android 15 update.

Speaking of the budget M series of smartphones, if you use a Samsung Galaxy M15, M33, or M34, or the Galaxy M53 and M54 devices, your device should also ideally receive the Android 15 based One UI 7.0 update

Future Samsung devices eligible for the update

In addition to the aforementioned devices currently on sale, most of the company’s upcoming premium devices, including the Samsung Galaxy Z Fold6 and Flip6, as well as the Samsung Galaxy A55 are all also expected to be shipped running on Android 15 straight out of the box.

Samsung recently announced that its Galaxy S24 series of smartphones will receive as many as seven years of software updates and security patches. Hopefully, the company continues this for all its upcoming launches, such that more and more of its devices become eligible for future Android updates, enhancing their long-term usability.
