Samsung Galaxy S23 FE brings back the colourful side of budget flagships

Samsung’s Galaxy FE (Fan Edition) series has been popular in price-conscious markets like India. Right from the first Galaxy S20 FE, a phone that you can still buy, Samsung has focused on one key aspect – value-for-money, combined with some recycled looks from the flagship S series. The new Galaxy S23 FE surfs on much of the same formula.

Here’s everything you need to know about the Samsung Galaxy S23 FE, which could be the phone you’re looking for if you’ve been considering an upgrade this festive season.

Samsung Galaxy S23 FE features and specifications

The Samsung Galaxy S23 FE comes with a 6.4-inch Dynamic AMOLED FHD+ display with 120Hz refresh rate and sports a metallic body. While the global variant of the phone comes with the Qualcomm Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1 chip, the Indian variant will sport Samsung’s own Exynos 2200 chipset.

The phone comes with a triple camera setup on the back, comprising a 50MP main camera with OIS, a 12MP ultrawide camera, and an 8MP telephoto camera. On the front is a 10MP camera for video calls and pictures.

Other features on offer include an in-display fingerprint scanner, a 4,500mAh battery and support for up to 25W fast charging, although the phone will also support wireless charging. The Samsung Galaxy S23 FE also comes with support for Bluetooth 5.3, Wi-Fi, NFC, and an IP68 certification that should protect it against water and dust in emergencies.

The Samsung Galaxy S23 FE is priced at Rs 59,999 for the 8GB RAM + 128GB storage model, while the top-end 8GB RAM + 256GB storage variant is priced at Rs 64,999.The phones will also be available in four colourways – Graphite, Purple, Cream and Mint.
