Samsung Galaxy S26 series’ arrival seemingly delayed; sale timeline revealed

Recent reports have revealed that the Samsung Galaxy S26 series of smartphones is gradually bagging certifications in different markets ahead of its launch. To recall, the Galaxy S25 lineup was unveiled in January 2025. Despite appearing on certification platforms, the arrival of the S26 lineup is said to have been delayed. A new leak has now revealed when the next-generation S-series flagships could be available for purchase.

Samsung Galaxy S26 series launch timeframe (rumoured)

According to reliable tipster Ice Universe, the Galaxy S26 series will be unveiled through a Galaxy Unpacked event in February. He added that the series will go on sale in March.

The new leak seemingly corroborates a previous report, which claimed that the S26 lineup will be announced on February 26, 2026. This is quite different from the current smartphone market trend, where brands are launching their flagship phones much earlier than expected.

For instance, the OnePlus 15, which was expected to arrive in January 2026, has already debuted in November this year. Similarly, the Xiaomi 17 Ultra, which was expected to break cover in February 2026 in China, is scheduled to go official later this week.

What’s causing the delay?

The Samsung Galaxy S26 series delay appears to be linked to multiple factors. Samsung may have pushed its usual January launch window to late February or March 2026, marking a shift from its predictable schedule. Development refinements and a possible reshuffle of the lineup also seem to be contributing factors.

Additionally, memory supply constraints are weighing on the launch timeline. Samsung is reportedly in urgent talks with major DRAM suppliers, including Micron, to secure sufficient LPDDR5X RAM for mass production, amid rising costs and shortages in mobile memory chips. Together, these supply chain and development challenges appear to be driving expectations of a later launch.
