Samsung’s foldables are having a moment, again. With the launch of the Galaxy Z Flip 7 and the new Flip 7 FE, alongside the technological marvel that is the Galaxy Z Fold 7, the company’s clearly aiming to broaden its foldable fanbase.
One is the premium flex king; the other, a more accessible gateway to the world of clamshell cool. But just how different are these two? Let’s break it down in our Samsung Galaxy Z Flip 7 vs Galaxy Z Flip 7 FE specs comparison.
Samsung Galaxy Z Flip 7 vs Z Flip 7 FE: Build and design
Both phones carry Samsung’s now-iconic foldable silhouette that’s sleek, pocketable, and undeniably stylish. The new Flips are toughened up with Gorilla Glass Victus 2 and an Armour Aluminium frame, and both come with an IP48 rating for water resistance, which means they aren’t fully dust-proof, but can be submersed in water.
In the hand, the Flip 7 feels just a hair more refined. It’s slimmer (13.7mm vs 14.9mm) and lighter (187g vs 188g), but you’ll barely notice that day to day.
The colours are where the Flip 7 gets playful. You get shades like Jet Black, Blue Shadow, Coral Red, and a minty exclusive colourway if you buy online. The Flip 7 FE plays it safe with just Black and White, which is clean, classic, but less expressive.
Samsung Galaxy Z Flip 7 vs Z Flip 7 FE: Display
The Flip 7 takes things up a notch with a larger 4.1-inch FlexWindow, and a 2,600-nit Super AMOLED panel that now stretches edge-to-edge. It’s the brightest and largest outer display ever on a Flip, and it’s undeniably polished.
The FE, meanwhile, keeps the same foldable charm but trims some luxury. Its 3.4-inch cover screen is perfectly usable, but lacks the full-screen finesse or outdoor punch of its sibling.

Open them up, and you’ll spot subtle differences. The Flip 7 boasts a 6.9-inch Dynamic AMOLED 2X display with a cinematic 21:9 ratio. The FE opts for a 6.7-inch screen with a slightly narrower 22:9 aspect ratio. Both refresh at 120Hz, so no love lost on smoothness.
Samsung Galaxy Z Flip 7 vs Z Flip 7 FE: Performance and power
The Flip 7 and Flip 7 FE have made the switch to Samsung Exynos processors. The Flip 7 is powered by the Exynos 2500, backed by 12GB RAM and up to 512GB storage. It even supports Samsung DeX, meaning it can double up as a desktop when plugged into a monitor.
The Flip 7 FE takes a gentler approach with the Exynos 2400, 8GB RAM, and 256GB storage max. Solid, yes. Beast, no. And no DeX support either.
Software-wise, both are on Android 16 with One UI 8, and come baked with the full Galaxy AI suite, Gemini Live on the cover screen, camera smarts, and AI-powered utilities that keep things intuitive and fast.
Samsung Galaxy Z Flip 7 vs Z Flip 7 FE: Cameras
The cameras are where Samsung plays fair, and smart. Both Flips come with a 50MP main + 12MP ultra-wide setup, paired with a 10MP front shooter. You get great sensors, reliable colour science, and fold-friendly angles that make hands-free selfies and low-angle shots feel futuristic.

The Flip 7 pulls ahead in AI flair though, offering Zoom Slider and Real-Time Filters right on the FlexWindow, letting you finesse your shots even before you open the phone.
Samsung Galaxy Z Flip 7 vs Z Flip 7 FE: Battery and charging
Battery life gets a nice boost on the Flip 7. It is now a 4,300mAh cell vs the smaller 4,000mAh on the FE. Both should comfortably last a full day with moderate use, and both support 25W fast charging, Fast Wireless Charging 2.0, and Wireless PowerShare.
Just don’t expect a charging brick in the box; classic Samsung move.
Samsung Galaxy Z Flip 7 vs Z Flip 7 FE: Price
Here’s where the real fork in the road lies. The Samsung Galaxy Z Flip 7 starts at Rs 1,09,999, while its more affordable sibling, the Galaxy Z Flip 7 FE, will set you back by Rs 89,999. The phones are now available for pre-orders on the Samsung India website and partner stores across India.
The FE clearly targets the crowd that wants the fold without the full flagship dent. But if you’re chasing maxed-out performance, camera AI, DeX, and that glossy FlexWindow, the Flip 7 makes a convincing case for the premium pick.
Which Flip is right for you?
Both Flips are undeniably stylish, cleverly engineered, and packed with smart AI features. The Flip 7 is a flex in every sense; it’s sharper, brighter, and more powerful. The Flip 7 FE, on the other hand, is the smarter entry point into Samsung’s foldable future. It is still very much a Flip, just with fewer bells and whistles. It’s up to you to choose your flex.
