Samsung just crashed the party at IFA 2025 with its new Sound Tower speakers, the ST50F and ST40F. These are large units that can be rolled around on trolleys and are clearly designed for one thing only: making a whole lot of noise and looking flashy while doing it.
240W of power, 18 hours of battery, and a wild 360-degree light show
The beefier ST50F model pushes out a massive 240 watts through dual 6.5-inch woofers, while the ST40F delivers a still-hefty 160 watts. Both use Waveguide technology on their tweeters to supposedly create a wider soundstage, perfect for filling a backyard.
You can fine-tune the audio with modes like Stadium and Outdoor, or dial in the low-end with Deep, Punchy, and Gentle bass settings. And if you’re feeling brave, you can plug in a guitar or use the built-in Karaoke and DJ modes to truly test your neighbours’ patience.

But the real star of the show might be the light system. Called Samsung Party Lights+, the feature uses dozens of LEDs spread across five distinct zones for a 360-degree spectacle that syncs to your music. You get racetrack-style lights around the woofers, glowing rings around the tweeters, and perimeter lights framing the whole speaker.
Everything is customisable in the Sound Tower app. You get six dynamic patterns and five mood presets to dial in the perfect vibe.
These speakers are built to last through not just the party, but the afterparty as well. The ST50F boasts up to 18 hours of playtime while the ST40F gets 12, and both feature replaceable batteries. An IPX4 water-resistance rating means they can handle rogue splashes by the pool.
The ST50F will cost $699 (approximately Rs 61,610) and the ST40F is priced at $499 (approximately Rs 44,000), with both expected to hit shelves this month. An Indian launch hasn’t been announced as of yet.
