Samsung’s not-so-secret slim phone is finally getting its time in the spotlight. The Samsung Galaxy S25 Edge, first teased at Unpacked and spotted in leaks for months, is officially launching on May 13 via a global online event. We got our first look at the ultra-slim Galaxy S25 Edge at MWC 2025 in March, and now, the company will finally take the wraps off the much-awaited device.
With the S25 Edge, Samsung is promising a phone that’s more than just slim. Translation – it’s not only sleek, it’s smart, stacked, and ready to turn heads. The event, cheekily titled ‘Beyond Slim’, kicks off at 9:00 AM Korea time (7:30 AM IST) and will be livestreamed globally. Here’s everything we know so far.

Samsung Galaxy S25 Edge to launch on May 13: Everything we know so far
Samsung clearly wants the Galaxy S25 Edge to be more than a design flex. Though with a reported 5.84mm profile (excluding the camera bump), it’s definitely that too. Despite the svelte silhouette, the specs are pure flagship. Expect a 6.7-inch FHD+ Super AMOLED display with 120Hz refresh rate, Snapdragon 8 Elite for Galaxy processor, 12GB RAM, and up to 512GB storage.
It’s also packing a 200MP ISOCELL HP2 camera, the same high-res sensor you’ll find on the S25 Ultra. There’s also a 12MP ultra-wide lens, but no telephoto. Still, Samsung says the camera will include a “smart lens”, likely pointing to some AI photography tools we’ll hear more about at launch.

Samsung’s also leaning hard into premium materials. The S25 Edge is rumoured to use titanium and ceramic, and will ship in Titanium Jet Black, Titanium Silver, and Titanium Icy Blue.
As for pricing, the starting point is tipped at €1,249 (approximately Rs 1,19,626) for the 256GB model, positioning it right between the Galaxy S25+ and the S25 Ultra. Pre-reservations have already opened in the US, with Samsung offering $50 credit for early sign-ups.
Samsung’s upcoming Galaxy S25 Edge appears to signal the company’s continued effort to merge premium design with top-tier hardware. If it delivers on its early promises, it may be a perfect rival to Apple’s expected iPhone 17 Air, both ushering an era of slim smartphones that don’t compromise on power.
