Samsung has introduced the Vision AI Companion, a conversational AI designed for its 2025 range of Smart TVs and Monitors. It brings together natural voice interaction, real-time translation, and intelligent recommendations to make viewing more immersive.
Unlike regular assistants built for individual use, this AI is designed for the shared experience of the TV screen, changing how people interact with entertainment at home.
Vision AI Companion: AI-driven conversational and visual experience
The Vision AI Companion marks Samsung’s new direction in household AI, combining upgraded Bixby intelligence with generative and multimodal learning. A dedicated AI button on the remote lets users ask context-aware questions or get tailored suggestions, whether it’s finding movies from a particular genre or discovering new recipes.
The assistant can hold natural conversations, follow up on previous questions, and even show visual results right on the TV screen. It also features Live Translate, offering real-time translation for movie and TV show dialogues so viewers can enjoy foreign content in their preferred language.
For gamers, the AI Gaming Mode automatically adjusts video and audio for the best experience. Other features like AI Picture, AVA Pro, and AI Upscaling Pro enhance the quality of older or lower-resolution content.
Built on One UI Tizen with extended support
Samsung has confirmed that the Vision AI Companion will support 10 languages, including English, German, Spanish, French, and Korean. It will be available across Samsung’s entire TV lineup, which includes Neo QLED, Micro RGB, OLED, and QLED lineups, with seven years of OS updates through One UI Tizen.
In collaboration with Microsoft Copilot and Perplexity, Samsung’s AI ecosystem aims to bring deeper contextual intelligence to everyday TV viewing, setting the tone for the next generation of conversational home entertainment.
Additionally, the Vision AI Companion will also be available on Samsung Smart Monitors and The Movingstyle displays, enabling seamless interaction across multiple screens. This expansion highlights Samsung’s broader goal of building a connected AI ecosystem that unifies entertainment, productivity, and smart living within a single interface.
