Early rumours of the Galaxy S26 series claimed Samsung was planning to scrap the Galaxy S26+ and replace it with the S26 Edge. However, newer reports have suggested that the Plus model will indeed be part of the S26 lineup.
Further bolstering this claim are new CAD-based renders of the device, which have just surfaced to give a good look at its design for the first time.
Samsung Galaxy S26+ to sport a refined design
The design of the Samsung Galaxy S26+ is not drastically different from its previous generation. Rather, it appears to be a more refined version, with dimensions of 158.4 x 75.7 x 7.35mm, making it slightly narrower, thicker, and with the same height as the Galaxy S25+.
The camera module on the back seems to be inspired by the Galaxy Z Fold 7. It features an elongated, oval-shaped module housing three cameras, instead of three separate circles for each sensor. The LED flash is placed beside it, just outside the camera island.
And yes, the Galaxy S26+ has been spotted in a cool orange version, which could be one of the colour variants of the upcoming S26 lineup.
Samsung Galaxy S26+ specifications (rumoured)
As per reports, the Galaxy S26+ will feature a 6.7-inch AMOLED screen with an FHD+ resolution and a 120Hz refresh rate. It is expected to ship with One UI 8.5-based Android 16.
Depending on the region, the Galaxy S26+ could be available with either the Exynos 2600 or Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 for Galaxy chip. It is expected to house a 4,900mAh battery, which may support 45W wired and wireless charging.
The Galaxy S26+ promises an enhanced photography experience, as it is expected to feature a new 50MP main camera and a new 12MP telephoto snapper, accompanied by a 12MP ultra-wide lens. It may also come with a 12MP camera for selfies and video calls.
