Samsung’s next-generation Exynos 2600 chipset is drawing attention after multiple tipsters shared early details about what the company is preparing for its 2026 Galaxy S26 lineup. Information from sources such as SPYGO19726 and Schrodinger on X (formerly Twitter) suggests that the Exynos 2600 introduces major improvements across imaging, video, and power efficiency.
These claims, reportedly based on internal documents and conversations with engineers, point toward a significant shift in Samsung’s camera technology pipeline.
Exynos 2600 imaging upgrades
According to the leaks, Samsung is said to be redesigning the Exynos 2600’s entire imaging architecture with a unified pipeline connecting the ISP (Image Signal Processor) and NPU (Neural Processing Unit).
Built on the company’s 2nm GAA process, the new ISP is expected to feature multi-core processing with support for a single 320MP sensor or three 108MP sensors simultaneously.
This configuration would allow simultaneous capture from wide, ultra-wide, telephoto, and depth cameras, all while maintaining zero-shutter-lag performance. The chipset is also believed to support up to seven MIPI camera inputs, opening possibilities for advanced multi-sensor setups, especially in foldable and flagship devices.
The HDR engine reportedly enables five-frame fusion with a 14-bit RAW pipeline, real-time tone mapping, and scene segmentation. Additionally, the new ISP could deliver around 30 percent better power efficiency compared to the older Exynos 2400, making it both powerful and power-conscious.
Enhanced videography experience
The video side of the Exynos 2600 appears to be equally ambitious. Tipsters claim it will support 8K recording at 60 fps with HDR10+, and 4K at 120 fps recording modes. The chip is also said to include hybrid OIS paired with AI-driven stabilisation, motion vector correction for smoother motion, and AI super-resolution zoom during video capture.

Furthermore, its internal bandwidth of 1.8 TB/s could ensure sustained high performance when managing multiple sensors and real-time processing tasks, a key factor for Samsung’s top-end camera experience.
If these leaks hold true, the Galaxy S26 Ultra, along with the Galaxy S26 and S26 Pro, could mark a generational leap in photo and video performance powered by the Exynos 2600.
