Samsung has released an Exynos 2600 video teaser on its YouTube channel, which carries texts like “refined at the core” and “optimized at every level,” suggesting that the new chip will offer impressive performance. It also states, “in silence, we listened,” indicating that the company has worked on shortcomings like overheating issues that plagued previous-generation Exynos flagship chipsets.
Exynos 2600: What to expect?
Samsung’s Exynos 2600 is the world’s first chip to be built using a 2nm process with the company’s Gate-All-Around (GAA) process technology. Reports have revealed that the new chip will offer massive GPU and NPU performance improvements. It is also being said that it will be able to beat Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 and Apple’s A19 Pro in these departments.
A recent report revealed that the Exynos 2600 will be integrated with ‘Heat Pass Block’, which is said to feature a built-in heatsink for enhanced heat dissipation. The chip was recently seen on Geekbench with impressive scores, such as 3309 in the single-core test and 11,256 in the multi-core test.
The Geekbench listing revealed that the Exynos 2600’s prime core clocks at 3.8 GHz. It is accompanied by three performance cores that operate at 3.26 GHz, and six other cores function at 2.76 GHz. For graphics, it has the Xclipse 960, which also achieved an impressive score of 21,104 points in a Geekbench GPU OpenCL test.
A recent report claimed that Exynos 2600-powered phones will offer enhanced photography and videography expereince. However, it is still unclear how efficient and fast the Exynos 2600 is, as nobody outside Samsung has tested it.
Exynos 2600 likely to power the Galaxy S26 series
Recent reports suggest that the Galaxy S26 and S26 Plus will come equipped with the Exynos 2600, whereas the S26 Ultra may arrive with the Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 for Galaxy in all regions. There is a possibility that some regions may get the S26 and S26+ with the Exynos 2600 onboard. As far as launch is concerned, the S26 lineup is expected to break cover in February 2026.
