Sony announces 27-inch PlayStation monitor with VRR support

Sony has announced a gaming monitor to play all your PlayStation exclusives. It’s a 27-inch monitor designed to offer an immersive gaming experience. Some of its highlights include support for VRR, QHD resolution, and compatibility with both consoles and PC. Here’s all you need to know.

Everything about the 27-inch PlayStation monitor

Sony’s 27-inch PlayStation monitor is a crisp and bezel-less gaming monitor with a QHD resolution of up to 2560 x 1440 pixels. It’s an IPS screen advertised to offer an immersive gaming experience.

The monitor has a high Dynamic Range support with Auto HDR Tone mapping that automatically adjusts HDR settings during setup on the PS5 and PS5 Pro. It also gets variable refresh rate (VRR) support of up to 120Hz with the PS5 consoles, and 240Hz on PC and Mac.

Furthermore, the monitor has a built-in charging hook for a DualSense or DualSense Edge wireless controller, adding to the convenience. You also get support for VESA mounting.

Other features of the monitor include built-in stereo speakers, 3.5mm audio jack, and seamless connectivity via HDMI and DisplayPort.

Sony hasn’t revealed the price of the new PlayStation monitor, but we should learn more next year, as it’s confirmed to be available in the US and Japan in 2026.
