Sony PlayStation 5 offer: Get a PS5 game bundle for less than Rs 50,000

The Sony PlayStation 5 has been around for a while now. The better part of over three years in fact. But despite having been around for so long, the PS5 still reigns supreme when it comes to console gaming. In fact, it just became a whole lot more of an appealing proposition, as you can now pick up the bundled versions of the Sony PS5 Disc Edition with up to Rs 13,000 off. Here’s all you need to know.

Sony PS5 Disc Edition offers on Croma

Between May 1 and May 14, the standalone PS5 Disc Edition can be purchased for up to Rs 10,000 cheaper, effectively bringing its price down to Rs 44,990. That’s not all though. The PS5 Disc Edition Bundles, are all also available with a discount of Rs 13,000. Here’s how much each of them will cost you, post discount.

1. The DualSense bundle which gets an extra controller, will be available for Rs 45,990, as against its original price of Rs 58,990.

2. The standard PS5 Disc Edition, with the God of War bundle or the Call of Duty Modern Warfare III bundle, can be picked up for Rs 46,390, as against its original price of Rs 59,390.

In essence, no matter what bundle you choose, you can buy the PS5 Disc Edition with the hottest games to get your hands on this year, for under Rs 50,000.

Remember, while the offer can be availed on both croma.com as well as Croma’s offline stores, it is valid only between May 1 and May 14, and until stocks last.

Is the Sony PS5 Disc Edition still a good investment?

Now, you may be grappling with the question of why you should buy a console that is well over three years old now. Especially considering how the recently launched PS5 Slim is also available with a Rs 5,000 discount on the Disc and Digital Edition as well.

Well, the answer is this. If you don’t mind the marginally lower storage capacity, the standard PS5 still makes for a great investment. Why? Despite such an age difference, both the PS5 and PS5 Slim are powered by the same 8-core AMD Ryzen Zen 2 processor, coupled with an AMD RDNA 2 graphics card, and get 16GB RAM. In addition, they both also get Tempest 3D audio tech, support for 4K video output, as well as a 120Hz refresh rate.

That means, the difference between the two in terms of pure performance, is zero. Which in turn, means that the former is still every bit as future-proof, as the PS5 Slim is. So, hurry up, head on over to a Croma store, and bring home your PS5 now!
