Tata Motors is back with a new Sierra, and while this one does retain some of the 1991 Sierra’s design language, it’s also bringing modern tech packed in a manoeuvrable chassis.
While the robust 1.5-litre powertrain and futuristic design are its highlights, you also get triple-screen infotainment, game controller support, and more. Intrigued? Here’s all about the tech in the new Tata Sierra.
A look at the tech inside the new Tata Sierra
Like the new-age SUVs from Tata Motors, the Sierra continues to put tech at the centre stage. And it’s all visible in the interiors of the SUV. Starting from the three-screen infotainment screen, which no other SUV offers in the segment.
There are literally three screens over right inside the Sierra, and the last one, which is for the co-passenger, lets you game. Alright, we have used the infotainment screens inside for playing YouTube videos or watching, but on the third screen of the Sierra, you can play real video games.
It’s a touch panel, so you just swipe or touch to control the game, but there’s also an option to pair a dedicated controller. For instance, the Xbox controller works perfectly well with it, which is a great experience for the co-passenger.
What’s more? There are 12 JBL speakers inside with support for Dolby Atmos, so you can get a home theatre-like experience on the move. Notably, the Harrier has a 10-speaker setup.
Apart from this, you get features like climate control, auto-dimming IRVMs, boss mode, sensor and camera-based ADAS features, and the fan-favourite electric panoramic sunroof.
