After weeks of teasing, Tecno has officially announced the Tecno Pova Curve 2 as a successor to last year’s Pova Curve (review). Like the previous generation, the new model sports a stylish design and packs a new chip along with the largest battery seen on a Tecno phone so far. Here’s a closer look at the smartphone.
Tecno Pova Curve 2: Specs and features
Starting from the front, the Tecno Pova Curve 2 features a 6.78-inch curved-edge AMOLED screen, delivering an FHD+ resolution, a 144Hz refresh rate, and a peak brightness of 4,500 nits. In terms of durability, the device comes with Gorilla Glass 7i protection and an IP64 rating for dust and water resistance.
The Pova Curve 2 comes preloaded with HiOS 16 based on Android 16. It offers a 50MP + 2MP dual-camera setup on the back and a 13MP front-facing camera.
One of the major highlights of the Pova Curve 2 is its enormous 8,000mAh battery, which supports 45W charging. Despite the massive battery capacity, the phone maintains a slim profile, measuring just 7.42mm in thickness.
The Pova Curve 2 is the first phone to feature the new Dimensity 7100 chip, which recently went official. The device comes with 8GB of LPDDR5x RAM and up to 256GB of built-in UFS 2.2 storage. Other features include an in-display fingerprint sensor, a G1 signal enhancement chip, and a Dolby Atmos-powered single speaker.
Tecno Pova Curve 2: Price and availability
The Pova Curve 2 has launched in India in two variants: 8GB + 128GB and 8GB + 256GB. These are priced at Rs 27,999 and Rs 29,999, respectively. Sales are set to begin on February 20.
Buyers can choose from Storm Titanium, Melting Silver, and Mystic Purple colour options. The company is also offering up to Rs 3,000 discount through select bank cards.
