Netflix has officially announced that the fourth season of The Witcher will begin streaming on 30 October 2025. The company dropped the news alongside the first proper clip of Liam Hemsworth taking over the monster-slaying mantle of Geralt of Rivia from Henry Cavill.

The teaser is very action-packed and shows the new White Wolf battling a ghostly nightwraith, giving fans their first taste of Hemsworth’s take on the character’s signature growl. New photos were also released, offering a first glimpse of Laurence Fishburne’s character, Regis.

As for story, the upcoming season picks up after the chaotic events of Season 3, which left Geralt, Yennefer (Anya Chalotra), and Ciri (Freya Allan) separated across a war-torn Continent. The official plot summary reveals they will each be on divergent paths, stumbling upon new allies as they try to find their way back to one another.
It’s worth mentioning that Netflix’s The Witcher is not based on the games. Rather, it is based on the original fantasy book series by Polish author Andrzej Sapkowski – though it’s understandable why the TV series and the game share the same fanbase.
This fourth season is confirmed to be the show’s penultimate chapter, with the entire saga set to conclude after Season 5. Both final seasons are being filmed back-to-back and will adapt the last three books in Andrzej Sapkowski’s series.
Of course, the show, being a Netflix exclusive, would be available to stream on the platform, starting October 30. You’ll need an active subscription to watch.
