There was a time when “home-theatre” meant a complex 5-7 speaker array with cables snaking all over your TV room. Things are much simpler today thanks to the advent of soundbars, and more importantly, the exponential improvement in sound quality that we’ve experienced these past years. Today, soundbars are not only cheap, but they also sound great and deliver that much needed upgrade to your TV’s humble, integrated speakers.
Here are the best TV soundbars to consider in 2025:

Sony HT-S20R Bluetooth Home Theatre
The HT-S20R is one of the best 5.1 channel home theatre soundbars you can find. It’s a fully integrated setup in the sense that you don’t need any additional accessories like amplifiers or DACs to make it work.
Simply hook it up to your TV via Bluetooth, HDMI, or optical adn you’re good to go. We would of course recommend using HDMI via the ARC port on your TV for the complete experience, but the others do server in a pinch. It’s available for Rs 17,930 on Croma and offers Dolby Digital 5.1 support. Total power output is rated at 400W.
LG S77TY Bluetooth Soundbar
This one is a little more expensive at Rs 34,990, but makes up for it with excellent, room-filling sound thanks to Dolby Atmos. There are no rear speakers, but Atmos emulation creates a virtual home theatre by bouncing sounds off your walls.
To aid in this, the centre speaker in the soundbar fires upwards for clearer dialogue and sound distribution. It also supports low latency Bluetooth 5.1 input via your TV, smartphone, tablet, or other Bluetooth devices.

JBL Cinema SB510 Soundbar
Not every home or TV setup requires a powerful woofer and large soundbar setup. For such spaces, we’d recommend the JBL Cinema SB510.
At Rs 9,990 it’s relatively inexpensive, but that’s largely because it’s packaged sans a dedicated sub. That said, it’s rated as a 3.1 channel setup as you get your usual centre, left, and right channels, but it also has an integrated subwoofer. The bass will not be as punchy as what you’ll get from a discrete sub, but for the price, you’re getting a vastly superior audio experience than what your TV has to offer on its own.
Croma 60W soundbar
For an even simpler and cost-effective setup, consider this soundbar from Croma. It costs just Rs 4,299 but offers a 60W output from a 2.0 channel configuration. It connects via Bluetooth 5.3, HDMI ARC, and aux, which is perfect for any TV setup you might have.
Bass is low and the output isn’t suited for larger rooms, but as an audio upgrade for a smaller TV or for use in a smaller room, this is a deal that can’t be beat.
