When you have so many great gaming phones to choose from, it’s hard to narrow down the selection to the one that’s just right for you. While not an impossible task, it is a challenging one, and this list will hopefully go some way towards easing that burden of choice. If you’re looking for the best gaming phones under Rs 40,000, this is where you start.
Best gaming phones under Rs 40,000
1. OnePlus 13R
2. Oppo K13 Turbo
3. Redmi Note 14 Pro+ 5G
4. Oppo Reno 14 5G
5. Samsung Galaxy F17 5G
1. OnePlus 13R
Sneaking in under the budget by just a rupee, the OnePlus 13R is a fantastic choice. That money gets you 12GB and 256GB respectively of fast RAM and storage, and more importantly, the power of the Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 platform.
This 3.3GHz octa-core processor is plenty fast for gaming, especially as this was one of the first chips to support 120 FPS in BGMI. A powerful vapour chamber keeps the device cool while a large, 6,000mAh battery ensures that you’re gaming all day.
2. Oppo K13 Turbo
Dropping the budget a bit, gets you the Oppo K13 Turbo. You now get 8GB of RAM and 256GB of storage, and MediaTek Dimensity 8450 for the SoC. The phone is cheaper, but performs almost at par with the OnePlus 13R in most games.
While the monster 7,000mAh battery with 80W SuperVOOC charging support virtually guarantees that you’ll be playing long after your mates’ phones have died.
3. Redmi Note 14 Pro+ 5G
The Redmi Note lineup has always had a soft spot in many of our hearts. It was one of the first phones to offer a massive display and battery at a very reasonable price, and the Redmi Note 14 Pro+ is no different in that regard.
This new phone features a 6.67-inch 120Hz curved display and Qualcomm Snapdragon 7s Gen3 power. You’re also getting 8GB of RAM and 128GB of storage, not to mention a large battery and 90W fast-charging support. This is a great gaming phone under Rs 40,000.
4. Oppo Reno 14 5G
For those who require a melding of gaming prowess and style, it’s the Oppo Reno 14 5G that fits the bill. With an unusual but rather beautiful rear panel and powerful internals – MediaTek Dimensity 8350, 8GB RAM, 256GB storage – this is a stylish all-rounder that just also happens to be very good at gaming. The 13R is more powerful but the Reno 14 is prettier.
5. Samsung Galaxy F17 5G
On the more budget side of things, one might want to consider the Samsung Galaxy F17 5G. Owing to a price tag, this phone is lacking in frills, but it does offer a 90Hz display, an 8/128GB config, and Samsung Exynos 1330 power.
It offers plenty of power for gaming on the go and its 5,000mAh battery is sufficient for several hours of gaming. Charging doesn’t happen at ridiculous speeds though, as the F17 is limited to 25W. It doesn’t look like much and certainly doesn’t cost much, but the F17 is certainly a good value gaming phone in 2025.
We hope this selection has at least one phone that you liked, and even if it doesn’t, it should at least have put you on the right path when it comes to choosing a new gaming phone.
