Upcoming Xiaomi flagship phone may bring back the dual-display trend

Xiaomi’s Mi 11 Ultra was one of the iconic devices in the brand’s portfolio. It featured two screens, out of which, the secondary panel was borrowed straight from the Mi Band 5. The secondary screen was usable, as it showed extra information and also acted as the viewfinder.

Unfortunately, Xiaomi ditched that design in its successor models. But guess what, Xiaomi may again bring the trend of phones with two screens. The upcoming Xiaomi 16 Pro Max is rumoured to get two displays, one being the primary screen, and another one placed at the back.

If you are into dual-display phones or just curious about the second screen, stick around till the end to know everything about the Xiaomi 16 Pro Max.

All about the Xiaomi 16 Pro Max

The Xiaomi 16 Pro Max’s secondary screen is expected to show extra information. This includes notifications and alerts. The display may also double up as a viewfinder for the rear camera. We already have flip phones with two screens, and there’s clearly a utility use case here.

Apart from the utility use case, users may also be able to see the time and likely play games. Motorola has already tried the latter for its flip phones, and it works quite well.
